Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K

Man, five hours of grant-editing and NSF-website-uploading this afternoon. Neepers!

So, Otis is guesting in my college success class, to teach some alternative learning modes. It should be a fun and engaging session and she is looking forward to having the students shake like animals and write while holding their breath. While doing some prep, she came across this picture and thought it was hilarious. What do you think?

Anyway, expect stuff to be happening soon: another game night, with some forceful games (get it?); perhaps a poltically-motivated soiree (for Melvin); and an upcoming Barb-B-Q. Not to mention the big Fractured Flickers night, if Johnbai gets off the dime and on the stick.

The photo looks like a gigantic fast-food playground: "Forget Disneyland, I'm going to McDonalds!" I found it rather sad and depressing. Bacon stip slides? And how come nobody is playing on the eggs? Weird.

"And how come nobody is playing on the eggs?"

Now that's a sentence I could not have predicted I would ever hear...

Getting "off the dime" and "on the stick" is harder than it looks. I've settled on the idea of using a television show since they're so much shorter. Netflix offers a large selection of old Twilight Zone and Outer Limits episodes. I'm thinking in that vein, but am open to other suggestions (like a favorite episode of Greatest American Hero!) Should we opt toward an unknown episode, or a well-known favorite?

Yeah, I know; I was being descriptive, not critical.

I think we should go with something unknown, or at least obscure; that will add to the creativity.

Must admit, did not actually read post, as should be doing something work-related, rather than scanning Walter's headlines. However, could absolutely not resist giving a bit of a rah rah shout for the Bill and Ted reference. Be excellent to each other!
